Or can I modify ArtcamPRo.exe or any other file to set the plunge Clearance ?
Is there a possibility to obtain a software version of Artcam Pro 8 with the Plunge Clearance by default set to +1MM before for ALL 2D toolpaths ? If you lower the Safe Height, the tool will reach that height at the rapid speed, before the plunge starts. Having said this, I can see that you have set the Home and Safe Height to 100. There is already an existing wish to implement the ability to bring in the tool closer to the actual Start Depth with Rapid Feed (Skim Height), and I have added your request to it. The Plunge Clearance option is not associated with any other type of 2D toolpath, whether you're working in ArtCAM Pro 8 or the Autodesk ArtCAM 2017 product range. This means that you cannot get the required line of NC code where these toolpath types are used.
Please refer to the image below, which shows the Drilling panel's Plunge Clearance option: The ability to specify the Plunge Clearance was not available in ArtCAM Pro 8, but it is included in Autodesk ArtCAM 2017. G00 X 230.0000 Y 100.0000 Z -4.0000 (ok!) > This is because the Plunge Clearance by default is set to +1MM before the Start Depth with ArtCAM 8 (Drilling, Start depth = 5, Finish depth = 12) G00 X 200.0000 Y 100.0000 Z 1.0000 (ok!) > This is because the Plunge Clearance by default is set to +1MM before the Start Depth with ArtCAM 8 (Drilling, Start depth = 0, Finish depth = 12) Hi can compare two Drilling toolpaths here:ġ) Start Depth = 0 and Finished Toolpath = 12. Thanks in advance for your time and cooperation. That said, please note that ArtCAM Pro 8 was released by Delcam in 2005 and the product is no longer sold or supported. Please attach your ArtCAM Model file (*.art) so that we can investigate further. What build of ArtCAM Pro 8 are you working in? To confirm this, select the Help > About ArtCAM Pro menu option in your software. Hi to the Autodesk Community and the ArtCAM Forum! I try other post-processor, it is the same problem. (Profiling) (it is the same with area clearance, machine vectors, carving.) I set material thickness = 12mm with 0 on the top. I set GO1 plunge rate = 3.0 m/min and feed rate = 5.4 m/min for example for one tool on Artcam. I have a problem to optimise my machining with 2D toolpaths : machine vector, area clearance, profiling.
